Hi guys,girls

I was wondering if anybody has experienced this problem before. I have a dodge ram 1500 with the 5.2l V8, and all of a sudden when i was entering the freeway the engine would not rev over 2,800 RPM even when you floored the gas it just doesn't go even it if i have it in park and floor the gas it still will not go over 2,800 rpm and it doesn't matter it its cold or warm or what gear the transmission is in. I have been having problems with the engine misfiring when I start the engine so I changed the spark plugs and wires.

Throttle sensor. Its bolted on the side of the throttle bottle.

thanxs for the suggestions doyle there is a warranty extention on my trucks catlitic converter it might cover the durangos catalytic converter as well its was extended up to 120,000 miles or 10 years which ever comes first.

Oh yes..Changing throttle sensor can be tricky.

My truck was doing the same thing and changed myself. The truck was still misfiring and trouble accerlating. Took it to the dealer and they say the throttle body sensor was not adjusted properly when installed...oops.
