that sound right...so i put in back to float around in gas tank ..thats ok .it wont hurt anything right..
check ball from the bottom of the fuel filler tube;

Its supposed to stay contained in the filler tube.Any thing floating around loose in tank could interfear with fuel pump module or your gas gauge sending unit JW
