OT but interesting

Take a look at this, your tax dollars at work.

I love reading the who's who list of liberal organizations that fund them. It sure explains the bias.

Gee, the money for that project could have been spent on education, charities, neighborhood development . . . .

a little short sighted on your part. don't talk about bias of other groups and then write such a biased statement. that was stupid.

i am not opposed to the war or the action but it vital to keep the costs in mind. not just the financial ones either, but in lives.

also, we could win this war. instead we do this political shuffle, while you and i pay for this war and our sons die in it. if this is a war, take the gloves off, win the stinking thing.

Please dude, if we could have won it we would have. This war was and still is an exercise in futility and a massive drain on this country in both cost and lives but if you really think we can win it, please tell us how. I would really like to know.

They need to add a body bag count. And a count of how many veterans will return physcially or mentally disabled. And how much their health care will cost over the next 7 decades. And how many familes have been devastated by losing a vet or having to care for a disabled vet.

talk to Saddam, say, hey dude, sorry, here, we will pay you handsomely, just let us put you back into power, we will give you back your militia, and your mustard gas. Saddam goes back into power, kills anyone who opposes his laws, kills anyone who looks at him inappropriately, his people hate him.. but nobody dares do anything about it.

All back to normal.

Either that, or stage an "accident" involving nukes.

You didn't say "win it by non confrontational means, and make everyone love us afterwards"

(That won't happen anytime soon btw)

The only real way to stop it, is having all the Iraq / Iran children growing up to not believe the ways of their parents. So if you can change the education system, and silence the adults, 20 years?

Oh, gee,,my mistake ... I thought this was an unmoderated group and I could state an opinion.

All wars have costs, not just financial or in lives but in emotions and national spirit. One thing that has been proven is that war protestors extend the cartnage, not reduce it.

Well, gee, that's what we should have done in, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm . . .did I miss any? But the Liberals don't want to win, just waste lives and money. Get Kerry and the rest of the Liberals to wake up and this could be over with.

Take off the gloves when interrogating. The Taliban won't be following any rules, why should we?

Kick butt when necessary. If the enemy is known to be in an area, accept collateral damage if need be.

And stop listening to panty waist Liberals.

Yeah, I would like to know how we could win this war, if it so simple to you. I would love to have my cousin, step daughter and step son home!

Because we're a country whos laws were based on Christianity?

Again we don't do that because our country is based on christian beliefs.

Is that what you call christians now?

Look who is bringing the religious content into the thread.

Isn't this always the case, Larry? Liberals always say how we need to win a war, but won't come forward with a plan.

And if someone else suggests we do what NEEDS to be done, how cruel or evil it is.

They need to remember it was a Liberal, President Franklin Roosevelt, who approved dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

That is not religious content as there are no bible verses or rules mentioned.

And exactly what plan have the conservatives come up with besides wasting hundreds of buillions of dollars and thousands of lives for no real purpose at all??? Do we have the person actually responsible for 9/11 yet?

If we do what you suggest, what makes us any better than the ones we are fighting and if we are no better than they are, by what right did we have to go in there in the first place???

Which blows you crap about the Liberals not coming forward with a plan to hell. Roosevelt knew that we had to defeat Japan and we had to break their spirit to do it. We could have went in there with ground forces but do to the culture of the people there, we would have lost hundreds of thousands of our men, killed millions of Japanese citizens and basically destroyed their country physically and ours economically to do it that way. Dropping those two bombs showed them that they didn't stand a chance against us and that their defeat and destruction of their culture would be quick and complete which broke their spirit and gave us their surrender with minimal loss on both sides. I guess that you are saying that Liberals use their brains while Conservatives use something else and with the current state of things, I would have to agree.

Spending money on Americans is liberal thinking but spending it on ragheads who hate our collective guts is OK?

Atta boy Budd, the neo-cons have an ally in you.

No, Truman did. Granted, FDR approved the development of the weapon, but the decision to employ it was Truman's. The US didn't even know if it would work until a few months after FDR's death.

Nobody said anything about putting him back but that still doesn't change the fact that we should have not gone in to begin with.

And as cruel as that sounds, it would probably be better than it is now. Even with Saddams record, no where near the number innocent people were being killed like with the current situation and the sad part is that there is no real end in sight.

Which would still be far better than it is now.

Yea, like that would change anything besides cause a $4.00 jump in the price of gas.

No I did not but if you really think that your nuke accident will work then you are only fooling yourself.

LOL, try NEVER.

Like I said, no way to win.

It is, you can, and you did but that doesn't mean that everyone has to agree with you.

Proven???? Show me where that proof is. The truth is that the protestors make us aware of the actual carnage, not the glossed over rah rar crap that the war mongers try and stuff down our throats or the coward in power that doesn't let us see the true cost by forbidding the filming of the bodies of our brave soldiers comming back home.

Sorry Budd, but the Liberals have damn little to do with this. That would be the morons YOU voted for which happen to be Conservatives.

Me thinks you would reconsider your point of view if it was one of your sons in a POW camp, but my point was you can't be a Christian only when it's covenient for you. If you expect people to follow, you have to set an example for which they wish to achieve.
