FOR SALE: 15th anniversary TA

I have a 1984 15th anniversary Trans Am for sale. It was rear-ended but is a pretty easy fix. Runs and drives as is. The main damage is in the passenger side quarter panel which is pushed down/forward a little. I've had a body shop look at it and they said quarter panel replacement is not required, it could easily be pulled out. There is also a dent going down the driver's side, mostly on the door/fender and I am including a good door to replace with (would include a fender if I had one). There is very minor surface rust on the exposed metal where the paint has flaked off, this could easily be cleaned off w/ steel wool or sand paper. Interior is in fair shape, is a FL car so some fading. But the Recaro seat fabric is said to be in very good condition by 15th show car owners who have seen this car. The leather part around the edges of the seat is worn where the driver slides into the seat. The car has a Florida REBUILDABLE title. This means that damage must be repaired and inspected before given a street legal title (depending on your state's law, you may be able to just transfer to a good title right). The car has 100k miles and is an automatic. I'm moving in two months and MUST SELL this car. Taking best offer. Will consider trades for dirtbike or possibly a streetbike. Pictures of the car, including damage can be seen at

Ya, the way I see the car, it needs to have the whole rear end removed including both quarters and straitened out. Replace the quarters and from the bumper shockes back, the door, some of the leather on the drivers seat (if that's even possible), it probably goes on and on...

Bottom line is that the OP would get more for it if they sold it as a parts car.

And rebuild the title, whatever's involved with that.

I'm guessing that what he is talking about is a savlage title. Meaning that special inspections are needed before it can go on the road, and additionally it will never have the same value as an identicle vehicle with a clear title.
