Yesterday no problems, today I get a few blocks from home and can't shift gears. Stuck at a stoplight and finally managed to shift into 2nd and drove back home. I checked the clutch fluid and it is full. I noticed some fluid on back end of transmission and wondered if low transmission fluid could cause the clutch not to disengage. It seems like if I pump the clutch pedal a few times and hold it down I can shift into all gears. Slave cylinder problems?

Inside the clutch reservoir you should find a black rubber sock. If I had a nickel for every time I found the sock full of fluid and the reservoir bone dry I'd have a lot of nickels.... Your problem sure sounds like a low fluid problem and I'd suggest double checking to be sure about the sock...
Oh, yeah..... DOT3 brake fluid is what the clutch gets....

Just checked clutch fluid level again and removed the sock, the reservoir has fluid in it to the full mark.
Try bleeding the clutch. There is a bleeder just above the clutch fluid line on the drivers side of the bell housing. Sounds like it could be the master cylinder. Check other posts for clutch master cylinder bleeding, especially for a new one.
