how do you remove a radio cassette from the dash i have a ford 5000 stereo

Judging by your email addy you are in the UK. I'm guessing that the 5000 radio is the double sized Ford unit similar to the 7000 that was in my Explorer when I bought it (now got a 6006 installed). Anyway, if it's the same as other modern European Fords you use a pair of standard radio removal 'fork' type tools. Just poke 'em down the holes on each side of the radio and either pull them together or push them apart - I can't remember which, but it'll soon be obvious if you try! Available from any motor parts outlet like Halfords or countless other motor factors for a couple of quid or less. Or ask the nearest juvenile delinquent to remove it for you ;-) Hope this helps
