The front air shocks on my 1997 Limited are squeaking and squawking. Is there a way to install standard shocks on the front and retain the air shocks on the rear?

The front air shocks on my 1997 Limited are squeaking and squawking. Is there a way to install standard shocks on the front and retain the air shocks on the rear?
Well that was short and sweet! I guess the obvious question now, is why?
