Did you try the procedure in the owners manual to start it? The only time my


97 (v6 SOHC) failed to start, the recommended procedure worked. IIRC, it was WOT while cranking...

This sounds like a fuel pump problem. Mine failed intermittently also, similar to what you described above.

in the relay/fuse box, probably on the passenger side under the hood next to the air cleaner box. lift up the prongs and swing open the little door, and there should be a label on the inside telling you which one is for the fuel pump. you can just pull them out, but you might want to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery first as a precaution.

as explained already, WOT is "wide open throttle", and IIRC is "if i remember correctly." you might want to look for some usenet netiquette FAQs online to help understand.
