Last night I removed the trim from around the stereo in my '02. Not thinking ahead, I simply used a screwdriver and created several indentations in the vinyl dash where I was prying.
Does any know of a way to remove or smooth over these indentations? I was hoping that since the dash had some give to it, that they would simply work themselves out -- apparently not the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Give it more time. I did the same thing on my 92 and then forgot about it for several months. Next time I paid attention to the "dents" they were gone.

You might try to gently (GENTLY) apply some hot air from a hair dryer to see if you can soften up the vinyl enough to massage it back into shape. I got this tool (scroll down a little):
