hello i have a 2000 taurus 3.0 ffv and the rear drivers side window quit working. is this a common problem? should i rip open the door or is there another way to see if it is in the switch? thanks SF

The problem is likely in the motor. With the key n the ON position, hold the window button in opposite the direction it is stuck and rap heavily on the door panel. It should go where you want it to go. If it does, the motor is bad and compltete failure will follow soon.
