96 ford escort RHD PS squeals when turned right.

Hi, I was hoping anybody could lend a hand here. My car is running fine, but being a noise freak i am probably hearing sounds people normally ignore and getting worried about them.

The first noise occurs in the morning normally, at a certain highish rev( i have no rev counter but i could guess about 3500-4000). I sould like small leaves ruslting, and the sould sounds like its coming from the passengers glove box (left of car) I dont notice it later in the day, either its a morning noise or i become less noise sensitive as day progresses :)

the second noise is a squeel, like a brake squeel (i am sure it is not brakes though) If i sit the car still. and turn the steering wheel to left lock no problem, but when I turn to right a squeel can be heard. I do not need to turn it to-from locks .. small turns to the right cause it to. the sound does not seem to happen while i am driving.

I also get that slight thud described by the mondeo driver in earlier post when releasing clutch, but i ignored it. I do believe it may be engine mounts so i will check.

for humour - i remember getting a tudding sould before, when breaking and accelotrating, I brought it to one of those quick stop places, they said engine mounts so i allowed them to change them.. drove out of the place and almost immediatly heard the knocking thud was still there. then i tightened my wheel nuts and the knocking stopped .. oops.. i didn't go back to the quicks stop place because i was imbarresed.. but they should have been too! :)

small leaves in heater or noisy serpentine belt or you have air in your coolant - most likely

Ball joint -probably or strut bearing - maybe

IF you have a shop do work like that AGAIN, make them show you the OLD PART and how it is bad.
