Does anybody know if the Toyotas that are recalled are using the "drive by wire" system?
I've had my experience with the drive by wire crap, in a 2006 Ford Mustang GT. It had a mind of it's own.
Does anybody ?

Automotive News article says one of the reason the government ordered the recall was that the consumer complaints and reports from Toyota indicate the problem is showing up on both the standard throttle linkage and the fly by wire systems are have the loss of control problem.
