Yep, just like I said the diesel holds a higher resale value. PLUS, you get
the added advantage of nearly TWICE the fuel economy, a better warranty, and an
engine that will last and last and run cool even when towing a large trailer.
If you are not gonna tow and you don't live in an area you need 4x4, then the
5.4 could be best (since its only available in 2wd form anyway), but its fuel
mileage isn't that much better than the V10, as it has to work much harder just
to move the beast around, and if you don't need to tow, seems an 2004
