86 was the last year for LTD... Do you have a Crown Victoria?
The 86 LTD had a C5 or AOD.

The 86 LTD (last year for non-C/V - Fox based) had a C5 or AOD... the
1987 LTD Crown Victoria had the AOD...Rob
