My 1995 f-150 with e40d tranny is having a problem. When you first crank the vehicle it will start in 1st gear. Once it shifts out of first gear it will not go back into first again when you stop - It will always take off in 2nd. If you put it in first manually and start to give it gas it feels like it is binding, so i didn't force it. If you shut the truck off and crank it again it will start off in 1st initally again. I ran a complete computer diagnostic test on the road, but recovered no codes. I also tried another ECU but it didn't change anything. Could this be a problem with the MLP switch?
