Fix the problem.
At the very least, go by Advance Auto/AutoZone/etc. and have them scan the code. That will give you a clue as to where the problem is. Or preferably, take it to a reputable mechanic who can pull the code(s) and correct the problem that caused it to come on.

That's what I did with my '95...
Seriously, you should scan the codes with an OBD-2 tool so you know what triggers the CEL. (might even be something important)
