Lincoln rear disk brake question

How do you back off the parking brake to replace the rear pads?

Should have said it's a 98 FWD.

What model?

It takes a special tool to turn the pistons while pushing them inward. You can rent the tool for a deposit near it's value from a local parts store. On a 98 Conti, though, I'd consider just buying loaded, rebuilt calipers.(About $50 each) The parking brake mechanism gets s***ty and causes problems if you reuse the old ones.
