Need help on a 98 Ford Taurus

Does anyone have any ideas why 3 of my doors can't lock or unlock via the 2 front doors panel? They make noise but only 1 works. I find it really hard to believe that 3 out of 4 doors actuators died. This is a new car to me so I know zilch about it (replaced a 91 Grand Am so its way different) but I did check the baby locks and they are down to the open lock symbol so I am stumped. It uses a real key so not a keypad and it does open and lock the drivers door. Any ideas out there?

Thank you.

I am not clear what the problem is.

If you are talking about walking up on the outside and wanting to unlock all the doors, you need to work the door key 2 times. The first time unlocks just the driver's door, the second time gets the others. This is by design.

If the inside lock/unlock does not work, I can't help.

Yep, I was talking about the inside lock and unlock and it doesn't work and I did not know about the key being able to unlock all the doors.

Alright, no matter how you try to lock or unlock the doors they sometimes work sometimes not. The drivers side always works but the other 3 are flakey at best even when you backup or go forward they try and lock because you can hear the sounds but only sometimes engages the actual locks.

Anyone take a stab at this?

Thanks.
