rattle at low load on 1995 4.6 T-Brid, where is it coming from?

One owner 1995 Ford thunderbird LX 4.6 v8, 90,000 miles, garaged, rust free, 4 wheel disk brakes , ABS with electronic traction control.

A light load on the car results in a rattling noise from unknown location, almost sounds like catalytic convertor heat shield rattle, but they are solid. No change in RPM's or performance when rattling happens.

Any suggestions on where to look for this noise? Hoping this isn't a tranny problem or timing chain issues.

Thanks, Steve

to the untrained ear that could just be detonation. Does it sound like a coffee can filled with BB's? That's Ford detonation noise. That's what first comes to mind on a car that old, with only 90k miles. You can de-carb the engine, or start buying Premium fuel.
