How is the door molding held on the right rear door on a 99ish Sable ? I saw one on the road today missing the molding and there were at least 6 to 8 one inch diameters holes in the door panel in line with where the molding would of been.

Plastic push pins/screws (they look like screws, but are plastic and you can push them into a hole and the threads lock in the hole, also the threads are just circles, not a spiral). To get them out you just yank - which damages them sometimes, which may be why it's not reinstalled.
