probably in either 94 or 95.....i got a 93 taurus and the service book mentions the R-12(the old stuff)... i got a 96 contour and its got the R-134 refrigerant...... the 95 contours have R-134,,,, so you can narrow it down......
My '94 Mark Vlll has R-134.
They switched halfway through the 1993 model year. My 93 Escort GT has R134, but there are a lot of early 93 models still using R12.
