with 7.3 psd, cruise control stopped working. checked fuses, what or where do I check next? Is cruise run by the computer? any ideas where to start testing? Thanks in advance!

Is anything else not working? Like turn signals or brake lights? Any warning lights on the dash, like anti-lock brake light?

nope, all lights work properly, no warning lights either.

Found it! the clutch switch has 2 springs inside of it. both of them were broken, allowing the switch to rest about 1/2 inch engaged. this allowed the truck to start, but not the cruise to be engaged. I was laying under the dash, trying to see up behind the steering column, and noticed that the clutch switch was on the shaft at an angle. Thank you for your replies, Ex.

And you checked both the fuse panel in the cab, and the one under the hood?
