1999 4.2L over heating

Oct 04, 2003 3 Replies

Have replaced: thermostat, rad cap, water pump, and fan clutch. Truck still over heats intermittently. It will over heat at a stop light and sometimes at highway speeds. But not everyday. It has me real puzzled. Any other suggestions?

Looks like a flow problem in the radiator. If so then your problems will only get worse once the freezing weather hits.

could you have a bad sensor...indicating hot or does it boil over?

I had the same thing hapen (chev Blazer w/ dig. dash) but when you lifted the hood everythig was normal.
