OK, then you are a stupid ricer. Just put a coffee can on the end of your exhaust pipe and put some illuminated windshield washers on your truck. You'll really impress the girls and if you punch a hole in your muffler, they will die for you to get into your pants.

Experience no, but I hear enough of them and they sound like a fat person letting a big juicy loud fart. I enjoy the sound of power whether its a V-8 with headers, a high powered boat, snowmobile, whatever. But them damn 4 cylinder POSs with a loud exhaust and a chrome 6" tailpipe just sound like s*it. My '75 F-100 with the 360/390 ran nothing but headers and straight pipes. Finally put some cherry bombs on it when the neighbors kept complaining. Nothing quite like firing up the FE block and hearing that rumble rattling in yer head. And yer ass.

Like I keep saying; I can't wait for the current fads to die.

Okay apparently your not going to get off this but if you look at the question then you'll see that the whole point of the question. point is that I dont want it to sound like fly by airplane or as you put it a "fartcan". I'll be the first to admit they sound ridiculous. But I have heard some 6 cylinder vehicles that didnt sound all that bad and considering the 4.2ltr isnt a small six I thought there might be a chance that someone might have had some luck with good sounding exhuasts on this motor. Thats all I wanted to know but if nothings gonna sound good in your opinoin thats all you had to say.... Now maybee we could be done with this.....
