Hi , I could use some advice from anyone who knows the model truck . Im thinking about buying this truck , im not very mechanical at all . Here is the description that I seen about the truck ... 97Ford F150 Extend cab 4x4 pickup with third door, rare 8ft longbed, holds plywood or sheetrock sheets flat, heavy duty add-a-spring leafs carries increased heavy loads, Ford bedliner, 4.6L V8, automatic, a/c has leak, shift on the fly 4wheel drive works like new, CD w/ IPOD port, pwr locks, pwr windows, ext red, int grey exc cond, no transmission issues, 70% yokohama Geolander tires, cruise control, sliding rear window, tow pkg, New starter, alternator, new plugs, new wires, new ignition coils. 166000 hwy miles. Has been a solid truck. I dont have room for this truck anymore. Small rust spot on side of bed, some clearcoat peeling, cant beat it for the price, easily patched by someone with the time. runs out fine on highway. slight ignition miss for a few seconds when you go uphill under load. it always starts and hauls whatever Ive needed it to and drives out fine on highway. Never overheated. I will be glad to email more photos. Kelley Blue Book value $4500. $2200 obo. Cash or trade for Jeep . Any advice I could get would be greatly appreciated . Thanks !

For $2,200 i would buy it in a new york minute, my 3/4 ton had a 4.6 and pu lled hard all day long, just like any truck or engine there are parts that will fail along the way but it's perfectly normal for stuff to go wrong, it 's the nature of the beast, doesn't matter what engine you buy they all hav e their ups and downs but the 4.6 is a runner..
