My chilton is seriously lacking. No mention of torques for any of the important parts.
1 carrier to housing nuts
2 axle retaining plates
3 yoke (pinion flange) nut The old rusty one came off the old pumpkin without too much fanfare, a little kroil and a tired impact wrench. I had to buy a new (more powerful) wrench to get the nut off of the new pumpkin.
Any figures or pointers will be welcome. If it makes any difference, it is a 1979 F150 with a 460 and auto. Thanks
