Hey all,
Anyone have any idea why the overdrive off light on the shifter would be flashing? Overdrive seems to be working fine.

The transmission has detected a problem. Take it to Auto Zone and ask them to scan for codes.

Went to Autozone to get the codes checked and they said they couldn't read tranny codes. Took it to a local transmission place that has a good rep. They took it for a ride with the diag box hooked up. It showed trouble shifting from first to second and second gear slipping. Said I needed a rebuild for $1800. Truck has 168k on it. Forgot to mention that it's had trouble shifting sometimes. Other than that, it's in good shape. Don't want to have to replace it.
