How much should a short paint job cost? 02 F150 Lariat FX4

I have a solid black 02 F150 that I bought w/ only 33K miles on it.

I really like the look of the two-tone color scheme.

How much should it cost to get that "band" of silver or gold painted around the bottom of the truck?

Ballpark.

I dont have a ball-park figure for you but:

Don't forget if you want it to look factory you will also have to factor in the cost of the stripe kit for both sides. It covers the transition from the black to the gold/silver you are wanting to add. Factory stripes will be more expensive while aftermarket stripes will be less....... Same goes for the painting. Dealer will probably cost you more while a private paint place will be less. Ask around for recommendations on GOOD paint people. Cheap painting isnt always best on this

Cheap painting isnt always best on this : Remember that if the truck is clearcoated - the whole truck should have to be stripped - Mine got 'keyed' the other day, drivers door, back door and bed: repaint is just under $2000.

$1,000- $3000, depending on the type of paint and the shop that does it

About $800+ depending on rates in your area for a good job.

We charge $2500-$4500 for a complete.

Keep in mind the cost of chemicals these days. A quart of primer and the pint of catalyst costs over $100. Figure about $200 for the paint on your truck.
