I got a V10 and global warming is fake

I got a 6.8 Triton V10 in the truck mostly for looks and so what if the MPG sucks? I need all the power. The eco-satanists know warming is a hoax to fund greenpeece. Michael Savage said warming was here 8,000 years ago so it can't be worse now. He used to collect plants so he know that stuff. I don't read much cause radio is so much easier and simple. Those climate guys are the beard and spectacles crowd and what do they know about real working people?

Steve

PS My wife thinks I got the V10 for towing but she likes it too cause she can ride high and chat on the phone and no/one messes with her. I like that too, like when some kid thinks he has more power and I show him up on a grade.

I think I can speak for most of us in here when I say that we take pride and joy working and taking care of our trucks whether old or new , small or big or beat up and don't need to boast about the size and wether our Wives like ridding in them or not (mine doesn't drive it but she'll ride in it next to her man) of couse I'm talking bout me, anyway glad you have the money to spend just for looks. When I go out to the store I have choice of driving the 2002 Ford Xplore or my old 84' F 250 which I almost need a ladder to climb into it and I'm 5'9" and guess what I take the 84' because I'm proud of the work I put into it and wife's Ford Ranger which has over 190,000 miles and the only major thing I have done to it was Timming chain. Hope y'all feel the same way as I do and I'm glad I found this group.

P.S. My wife thinks I have little Ford trucks running thru my veins, I tell it's okay as long as don't start leaving spots or back firing too much.

a most excellent troll. btw I got a V8 but I make up for it by burning massive amounts of firewood while smoking hand-rolled tobacco and burning finger-thick 3' incense sticks. i installed an mpg readout so i know when to uselessly mash the peddle to get closer to that magic 10mpg number.

the whole idea of global warming is to sell real estate on disappearing ice flows. (links) don't fall for this scam even if your upstairs neighbor has ten dogs.

i am not worried about the outlawing of combustion engines in california: soon there will be so many immigrants i will be able to afford to be carried about by vassals, much like an ancient royal. if the air is a bit smokey, they can carry an oxygen tank too. if you are so worried about global warming, i suggest you start collecting ice.

all in fun! Later, Alex

Yeah I bet you have less power than my Triton. You are jealous. More power is better, always power power power. Americans want the power and need it too for shopping. The eco-weenies lie about oil and its everywhere now. I heard it on Glenn Beck or maybe Savage.

You only got a 8? you got to get a 10! I think the Asians use 8 as a lucky number so it's less American than 10.

The real scam is the ecofrauds who are pushing scarcity on us in a world with no bounds. Bill at pushback.com agrees on that.

I am worried hardly! It's a liberal scam like most other bio-science. I ride high an proud in my V10 and the Moose and Bison are jealous like in that Chevy ad. Chevy is OK but they know who the big kid on the block is and it's not Escalade.

I know of several house-holds that run on solar and wind power. Big expensive equiptment that track the sun and all, not mickey mouse stuff.

They don't come anywhere close to using electricity like the typical US citizen. They don't have near enough to do that. Gas refrigerators are the rule and a couple have gas freezers.

They are ranchers and make-do for several reasons it wasn't but

10 years ago a couple of them were using gas lights.

Only old hippies and ranchers fit the "life style" changes needed to use solar energy but not anyone else I know!

25 years ago it would have cost 125 thousand dollars to run a power line into one of the -less- remote homes. They ain't messing with the solar power and wind power because it's fun. ;)

Wind mills for pumping water work because of the holding tank some of them have had to be huge! But even then sometimes the cows have to be moved or water pumped in (in rare instances) from a nearby farm.

Don't let anybody fool you into thinking that solar, wind and bio-mass can come anywhere near supplying enough enregy unless we all want to live like cowboys and have no industry -both-.

Going and staying with cowboys in their homes is like camping out to most 'mericans. No kidding. :)

I pretty much agree with what you say here. I subscribe to "Home Power" magazine which deals with solar and other alternative energy. I don't fit there typical "greenie/leftist" reader, but it is a great source for solar/wind power and even electric or biodiesel vehicles.

It is interesting to see how some people are able to run large, convenience filled homes on solar or wind power, but to do so is VERY expensive. While the editorial position is that we all need to do this "because it is the right thing to do", the reality of the matter is that the folks that are doing it are mostly doing it because it was cheaper than dragging in commercial power, or they just so much want to make a statement. Most "normal" folks aren't going to jump on this bandwagon because it isn't cost effective, (at least not in the short term), and there is a lot of added maintenance involved. I do expect both costs and maintenance will drop, and with that, more people will be willing to commit. We ain't there yet. (Oh, and the folks that have the high capacity solar/wind houses still need gas/diesel/propane generators to meet their energy needs at certain times.)

Just because I can't let ANYONE believe I'm one of these "green/leftist" types, the reason I get the magazine is because I've got a cabin up in the woods that the local utility wants to charge $30K to run power to. (After I dig the ditch for them!) Because of this, I'm interested in alternative power sources to meet our limited electricl needs. (OK, not electrical "needs", but "wants"!) I still use my big V-10 powered truck or 2-stroke snowmobile to access the place.

They're lucky they live in Arizona, too. Let's see, the last time I saw the sun around here was 5 or more days ago. Oh, the office where I work has windows, visible from my desk. In upstate New York, the first problem is the 5pm winter time sunset and the second problem is cloud cover.

Solar energy certainly won't work in this part of New York. If it could, then it wouldn't be 3 degrees Fahrenheit right now (-13 with the wind chill).

That sounds like fun :-). (No kidding - I like camping and being outside; when it is above freezing)
