I am planning to purchase a new F250 4X4 when the '04 models are available. I plan to do some serious towing (10,000 lb. 5th wheel), and I will be going off-road on occassion. I'm wondering what the best comprimise is to have a vehicle that will do both reasonably well. For example, I'd like the crew cab, but the long wheel base may not perform well off-road. Also, I'd like the 4X4 with FX4 package (knobby tires), but this package may not perform well when towing.
