radio question

I am looking to upgrade the sound system in my '99 F-250. Any suggestions on CD players?

Just a suggestion. Narrow your search to models with the removable face plate. My daughter's Sony AM/FM CD was recently stolen and it was only worth $200.00 three years ago but they stole it just the same.

I agree but that depends on where you are etc.

I don't have any suggestions on CD players but I do know how to upgrade the -sound- of your system... better speakers! :)

If the sound is the problem, start with a good set of speakers, the ones ford included aren't good, especially in the highs. After that, check out some of the kenwood mp3/cd players, I just put one in our camper and it is pretty darned nice.

a factory unit is the easiest way to go .you can get one on ebay for around $125 i have one in my crown vic, and it is just as good as the top of the line aftermarket units, plus it is a plug in deal, unlike the aftermarkets have to be wired to the vehicle

LOL :)

But what the hell's the matter with just driving/riding and talking?

I orderd my '75 with no radio (no antenna!), there have been people that insisted on taking their vehicle because of that. Believe it? :)
