Much will depend on how the previous owner cared for it. Quality has improved on newer vehicles, so chances are, it should have less problems.

The S10 has had a history of poor fit and finish, electrical problems and other reliability issues according to the consumer products magazines. My parents had a 91 Jimmy and it had only a couple minor issues up to 160K miles. By contrast, their 95 Blazer was good until 80K and started needing major repairs every other month. After getting stranded on the road, they had enough and sold it. Maybe the older ones were better : ) John

S10's have a profound internal problem with the window wipes. replace repair and then they fail the first time it rains again. The same prob for over 20 yrs? I have given up and switch to ranger now, so far so good, some small probs with electricals, but nothing major to speak of. Wish ford had a 4 cyl deisel for the rangers....
