On the other hand, perhaps you ought to look into the proposed CAFE standards. Just for a minute.

Those standards get set back year after year as the auto makers fail to reach the standards, so why do you think that's going to change? Look at what happened to the 55 MPH national speed limit. Voters doing a little squawking usually changes things that affect the masses.

I wouldn't worry too much....
A threat from a politician is almost as worthless as a promise from one ;)
