I would like to read why your brother "learned" his lesson about wearing seatbelts .... Maybe we all could "learn"

buckling up!

On my older model, I traced the wiring under the seat to the belt and disconnected it. The warning light still illuminates, but no buzzer..... :)

Since he "would never even think about not buckling up!", the warning sound should not be a problem. H

My husband says that you cannot remove the dinger. He says that a guy on his crew tried it once on one of the newer models and the truck wouldn't start. I have wanted to yank it out on this truck, but since he is the primary driver of it no sense me wasting my time. . I just get annoyed by the dingers and gave my Mustang a dingerectomy as soon as she hit the driveway.

In our ( GM ) cars if you buckle the belt before starting the car you don't hear ding, ding ding.

I think GM got the idea from Ford. (But some of the Ford drivers just can't get the idea period!)
