update re: bigger F-100 tires>>

I bought 2 used tires, with lots of tread, for the rear rims today - they're 33X12.50R15LT...$80 total (balancing, weights, stems, transference of a back wheel to the front). I wonder how this affects speedometer, mileage?? They went on the stock rims fine, and the truck actually grips the road now - it looks so redneck the tire shop owner and I were both laughing.

Still have the 225's on the front, so it's a good compromise... thanks to everyone for the input! also - I have 4 stock 1982 F-100 hubcaps I'll sell for ten bucks and shipping, and what's the best way to get that 1/4 inch of oil/grease/road grime off the wheels? Maybe Tide and a wooden brush? Paul
