1997 buick skylark

how do i get the pin out of the steering column that locks the steering wheel.somehow it has gotten stuck and my key cylender will not turn. HELP!

Did you try holding the wheel to the left or to the right and turning the key?

If that doesn't work, you need to look for damage in the column. Could be housing, shaft assembly, shear bolts, lock cylinder assembly, ignition switch assembly, Park Lock Solenoid or an out of adjustment shift control cable.

i have tried all of those things.the tumlers in the key switch came out.i had to remove the key cylinder and turn the switch with a screwdriver.i think the switch turned to far letting the steering lock pin drop to far.i have remove the steering wheel but still cannot get the pin to release.
