Got it done, 18mm socket on the lower mount nut, then a 3/8" 6 point to remove the stud, push the spacer down to clear and pull the belt out. I made sure the belt was the RIGHT one before putting the stud back in!! Did it all from above the car.
car and it seems as if you have to remove the engine mount to get it off, is
