Yep - typical government solution: Got a bad situation - someone broke a
leg so you put a tourniquet on their arm. Problem is the leg is still
broken, and now you have to amputate the arm.
Yeah - I love the "But we *have* to do something!!!" crowd.
How about fix it with solutions that would really accomplish something?
What a concept.

Don't waste your time arguing with either Fathead Moe or any of the other
liberals here. They don't listen to any opinion they don't agree with.
They think all people that don't agree with them are righttards, and they
quickly degenerate into namecalling. They've smoked the hopium and their
minds are blown.
Agreed. Most of the liberals are losers. Screwed up their lives and
now want others to pay for it without any plans to change their ways.
All these hard luck stories...hey, pay your bills! Novel idea.
Far too many with low moral values, liberal sized debtors living high on
the hog now want producers and winners to pay for their bad habbits.
But there is more too it. The government is debt spending a record
amount, and needs cash. Which is really what this is about, governemtn
wants more cash and health care is a juicy cow. Get the money then dumb
down the costs while taxes go up.
Politicians don't provide anything, the tax payers do.
Hang some Wall Street banksters from a few lampposts if you want real
reform. Anyone remember a year ago? The financial crisis brought on by
subprime loans. Fip that house? Worse then the Salomi Pirates! But
one thing is for sure, if there is any money to be made from the health
care bill (and there is) Wall Street will be there doing what it does.
Liberal? Me? Shit, I'm one of those paying for everyone's dialysis,
pacemakers, plastic knees, pig heart valves, food stamps, and free
medical care, while I go without basic health care. And I have to park
way far out at the wallyworld parking lot and walk all the way to and
from the store so the sick, lame and lazy can park up front and get
their scooters at the door.
Now look what you miserable nattering nabobs have done, you ruran't
my day. You got me complaining and gripping an crying.
Actually I'm taking a break from working on my taxes.
No cheer up you guys, think what a hottie Palosi must have been, we'd
a done her in a minute back in our hunting days. Probably some
conservative did and that's why she is the way she is.

So how come Obama hasn't jailed a single one? Nada, not even a peep.
Not even an attempt. Bailout some banks and not others, might the
uber-rich politician supporting depositors have anything to do with that?
Think, next year you will have more forms to fill out as taxes be going
Conservatives would not want to risk their seed to Pelosi. Or have to
be pretty darned drunk. Maybe that is the reason she is so for Ombama?
Getting some? Would not be the first time a democrat president got some
fling in the White House Oval office.
Think how easy this recession would have been if everyone was forced to
pay their bills or die. Including GM, banks, home owners who welshed
and now get Obama aid.
Debtors, losers and the corrupt now rule. Needs to be changed for a
real recovery to happen.
Politicians don't provide anything, the tax payers do.
All of the taxes on people and business start at once but the "benefits" do
not kick in for three to four years from now.
Watch what happens to the price of goods and services as the corporations
and business pass on their extra taxes and higher health care costs to
consumers. By the way your FICA withholding is going up as well. Is
this the change all the idiots voted for?
This bill is not THE answer, but at least it's an answer that's better
than the status quo, which managed to make our health care the
costliest among the developed democracies and is doing nothing in
regards to cost control. Switzerland is in second place, spending 12%
of GDP on health care. If we were able to hold our costs to that
level we'd save about $2,000 per American citizen. Imagine getting a
$2,000 tax cut every year.
The best solution would allow anybody to choose Medicare or a private
plan, but the kneejerk far right scared people by shouting
"socialism!", so we're stuck with a system that provides no
competition to keep private insurers in check. We should also do
something to unburden doctors from so many different sets of coverage
rules, which only waste their time but don't cut costs or improve
The problem is this bill is not struck down by the Supreme Court it will
increase the cost of healthcare for everyone, except those that already
getting free healthcare in the US under the Hill Burton Act.
And the problem with your line of reasoning is that the evidence
doesn't support you -- every other developed democracy and Singapore
have lower health care costs than we do, despite the much higher
levels of socialism in their health systems. IOW countries like
France and Germany, whose economies are dragged down by having way too
much socialism in general, would actually be worse off if their health
care systems were more free market.
And what is that private health insurance system you said covers you
and has lower premiums and better benefits than Medicare? You've
dodged that question several times, probably because you didn't tell
the truth about it.
That seems like a begrudging admission that you lied about your
private health plan being better and cheaper than Medicare. If it's
not, then you're still lying.
Show me some developed democracies with more expensive health care
systems than what we have.
