the engine has to be turned over two or three times to fire where it used to fire first time.
Any suggestions where I should start to look.

Spark plugs Plug wires Ignition module Fuel pump Fuel filter Fuel injectors
I'd suspect the fuel pressure regulator may be bleeding off fuel pressure while the enigne is off.
