Appears that the Boge dampers were obtained from an importer outside the Boge 'chain of supply' in Australia and carried a limited warranty (6m) and not the factory 24m/unlimited kms. Hence the inability/unwillingness to honour the factory warranty. If that fact had been advised to us when they were supplied we would not have accepted them and all this kerfuffle would have been avoided. As it is, it went all the way up to arbitration before an offer to settle was made (and accepted by us). What a waste of time for all concerned!
