I found this old posting as possibly relevant. In my '96 XJ6 the seat memory is only partially functional. When I use any of the memory buttons, the ignition key, or the remote control the seat back generally pushes further back every time and the seat tilts in a wrong position. Only the forward/backward sliding of the seat is working correctly from the memory. Is there a back-up battery for the seat memory or you have any other remedy?
