I dont know squat about those shocks but the xj will be great. I know hundreds of people who love theirs. KH
Can't say much about the TrekMaster's as I have Edelbrock's on my Cherokee and they feel soft most of the time. Of course the rest of my suspension is tired after 7 years and 109,000 miles... Which is why I am about to rebuild it including the shocks, Rancho RS9000's.
As for the XJ, you will be very happy with it if you use it as God intended, off-roading. As a commuter car or long distance driver there could be better choices when it comes to ride and gas mileage...
My '98 XJ has been very strong as a horse with no major problems but several little ones mostly tied to quality of workmanship.

After 95k on my 97 XJ I'm in the market for new shocks. I don't use it for off road and is my wife's daily driver. Can you recommend some good ones? Thanks, Dave
