Well my wiper motor is no longer reliable enough for me so I picked up a replacement at a boneyard on the way. When I went to install it, I had a problem. See:

Mine is the motor on the right. I have an early TJ, and I'm wondering if I should try to get the mounting plate off the wrecked donor '01 TJ. I'm thinking I may have an odd mounting method on my Jeep. I'll post the pictures of the wrecked donor later. It's a sad sight...Thanks for any responses to this thread. I hope this info on early TJ wiper motors will help someone else who searches Google for this info later.
