It's time to rebuild the 2.5L in my daughter's 1993 YJ. Does anyone know of an aftermarket camshaft that might give this engine a few more horsepower?

I have been wondering for a long time, and maybe you know the answer, Bill, whether the Jeep 2.5 is the same as the GM 2.5 "Iron Duke" that has been around for such a long time. With AMC's tendency to borrow parts from other manufacturers, it wouldn't surprise me if it is, and if so, there are numerous performance cam companies that make shafts for the 151.

Jeeps did use a version of the Iron Duke long ago, but the current 2.5 is an AMC design.
