Anybody Have Info On The Jeep Compass?

Question

I keep hearing different things on the Jeep Compass, one day it is a go then maybe not then back on again.

Anybody have the latest info and up to date news on the concept Jeep Compass, is it going to be made, when, will that be the name, thanks for your time

Last info is it is NOT a go. I work for a JEEP store and the compass is notsuppossed to land.

That's really disturbing.  That damned thing looks like DC's version ofthe "MY FIRST SONY":)  Seriously, I see an in-breed merger between theWrangler and the Liberty.  It makes you wonder whether they're trying tomake the Libby more enticing by stealing a Jeep's reputation or are theygoing to put all the Wrangler eggs in Libby's basket.  It's hard to tellwhat the new management's thinking.  IMHO, innovation's good. That sure looks lame.  I beat the hell out of my  TJ on a fairly regularbasis, with no need for alignments, or any silly shit like that.  Somethinglike that ugly compass thing would be in the shop on a weekly basis, atleast on the abuse that I would give it.

The Compass has not been officially ditched, in fact it made therecent auto shows in january, there have been rumors that it could bereleased or that it is put on hold for now, but it is not officiallyscratched
