cj hood

Dec 30, 2008 5 Replies

To keep the hood from touching metal to metal on a CJ probably some rubber 'bump stops' were used. Mine, for longer as I had it, had some (probably) weather strips for doors glued here and there.

Does anyone know where to get these "bump stops" ?

thanks,

Ron

Even the ZJ uses some weatherstrip stuff glued here and there.

Ever read MV magazine? The advertisements in it are great, and you can find virtually anything for an 'older' Jeep in there, including bumpstops.

Don't think I have. Only parts books I get are from Crutchfield, 4WD, and some trade journals.

Ask and you shall receive:

Grill to hood grommet (4 needed) $3.99 each.

In the photo the part is shown upside down.

And, just for posterity, this site I found offering repop body parts, right down to the wheelhouse inner baffles.
