ebay items I Listed

Isn't posting this information a direct violation of charter rules? Bill?????

CHARTER: rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys

The unmoderated newsgroup rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys is to be used for discussions, announcements, expression of opinions, and questions about Jeep (Trade Mark) and Willys vehicles. It also serves as a medium for those interested in sharing and exchanging their experience. It is also meant to be a forum for buying and selling parts by non-commercial vendors.

As pointed out earlier.

Also has anyone seen all the jeep stuff for sale on ebay? they have half doors and a top and door surrounds all for TJs...... Just keeping with what was intended " for discussions, announcements, expression of opinions, and questions about Jeep (Trade Mark) and Willys vehicles"

So, if Tim sells his car parts through eBay, he would have to charge sales tax?

Another technical marvel. Way to go Bill. We are all so proud of you.

Don't confuse him any more than he already is.

Wrong again Bill. The proper term for this type of transaction is a "Casual Sale", so, no sales tax collection is required. So now you have called Tim a criminal as well. You sure are one ignorant SOB aren't you!

In Texas if you sell a car you dont charge the people tax.. they pay it when they go transfer the title

I see you have been having some 'fun' Bill....

Man you are so wrong in so many ways here.....

Since when is using Ebay by a private person an abuse of the Charter?

If he was commercial, then yes, he would be violating 'both' our Charter 'and' Ebay's TOS.

He isn't, therefore he isn't....

At least he told the truth and didn't come on here claiming he was 'selling' his Jeep stuff, just that he listed it for auction.

I don't think that using 'ebay' as a third party auction site can really be called against the Charter.

We 'have' had this conversation before.....

Just my $0.02

Did you even read the TOS at the link you posted?

Take your meds Bill...Nobody can understand your ramblings.

If that was true, everyone would live in Texas. Then it would be as messed up as Kalifornia.

Did you get that one out right Matt? Or did you mean "if everyone besides Bill is ok with personal Ebay items" ??

KJK

I don't think this violates eBay's : Usenet policy, since our charter doesn't address eBay auctions by personal : individuals, which is different from companies trying to sell their wares : through eBay.

Who are the governing bodies of an unmoderated group? Who would have a say, who wouldn't?
