Fiberglass body questions

I currently own a 79 CJ7, 401 AMC, and Turbo 400 tranny. I keep this vehicle at the beach and would like to replace the steel body with fiberglass for the obvious reasons. Any comments about do or do not do this swap would be appreciated and best body worse body and best company to work with.

Thanks,

Wade

I got a 'glass body made up here in Ontario Canada by a gent in his back yard garage.

He does 'nice' work!

It fit on sweet and is really strong. All my doors, soft and hard and my tops soft and hard fit like a glove.

It has 1" waterproof plywood sandwiched in the floors and diamond plate sandwiched in the firewall.

I have even flipped her over and all I damaged was the glued seam where the firewall meets the floor pan. I cracked it there. I did knock it

1/2" over on the frame, but that only took a half hour to fix. Loosen the mount bolts and measure it back square to the frame and bolt her back tight.

I love the one piece front clip! It just flips everything up out of the way so to change plugs or anything, I just sit on the front tire and wrench away.
