Troy
thanks for your help sorry about the spelling
An alignment or wheel balance check won't pinpoint a tire problem. Try rotating both front tires to the rear and retest. Sometimes a tire will develop a bubble or cord seperation that will cause this, esp. at speeds over 40 mph.
In a TJ that young, I'd suspect a bad tire first.
Just pokin at ya!
Does this shimmy happen after hitting a bump in the road or anything similar? I can't imagine a jeep so new having problems like that. You said you added a steering dampener, is this thing lifted with bigger tires?
My cherokee had a bad deathwobble experience but it turned out to be one of the tires was low on pressure.
Troy
figured I'd go slow ;)
never mind about the spelling - did you get it fixed ?
