How to remove bumperettes from TJ?

If I remember right, it should be four Torx bolts, two on top and two on the bottom, and then the bumperette just slides out of the bumper?

Remove the bumper, 4 torx on top, 2 on bottom, once the bumper is off, it's a simple 4 nut removal...

Oh! Duh... I was thinking the plastic caps on the end, not the rubber on the front. Sorry...

In that case they "should" unbolt from the back. However, they won't as the genius that designed them used a mushroom headed bolt which will undoubtedly turn ; I ended up cutting the bolt with by hand with a hacksaw and most annoying it was too. If you are never going to sell the vehicle with them put them back on, say "hello" to Mr Angle Grinder and attack from the front.

Especially true from someone who recently started driving a tow truck.. Hehe. I can't believe this job is 400x more fun and makes more consistent (and often better) money than sales did. Besides, it's an awesome way to get to know people, including other Jeepers... who are stuck in cars other than Jeeps. :)

Thank you ladies and gents. I wasn't sure if I'd have to take the entire thing off just to get at them. (sigh) Oh well. As soon as I can afford it I plan to upgrade bumpers anyhow. In the meantime, this is going to be a fun little project. :)

Real Jeepers put lift kits on their Jeeps so they can simply drive up and over all of those annoying obstacles.

It's a sure bet you'll appreciate your new bumpers over the oem's. I have olympic rock bumpers front and rear and really like 'em.
